WHAT WILL CHILDREN OF ALL NATION’S OFFER TO CARER/S.

We believe that each child/young person has the right to stability, love, and understanding, and to have their abilities developed to their full potential.

We are also aware that many children and young people are unable to live with their own families, and that fostering and adoption is therefore a preferable option, to remaining in inappropriate residential settings.

Children of All Nations employ qualified social workers and support staff, with vast experiences of working with children and young people. They carry out assessments, training and day to day support to our carer(s).

Children of All Nations has a fostering panel consisting of professionals and lay people, who will recommend the approval of carers for placement, and the matching of children and young people. The panel meets on a monthly basis to discuss reviews and various other matters relating to fostering/adoption, and the running of the organisation.

We recognise and acknowledge the importance of caring for children and young people, and the high degree of stress, anxiety and support which is needed and therefore provides:

Frequent contacts/visits by your supervising social worker/support worker

Continuous up-to-date training in fostering/adoption

Monthly support group meetings to enable carers to share experiences and empower each other.

Paid respite per year, (which will be reviewed yearly)

24 hour support, which will include on call system

Support in gaining NVQ qualification

Generous Allowance

Regular Supervision (by supervising social worker)

Social events for carer/s children/young people.
